Leadership
Laila Danielsen is a serial entrepreneur and an experienced tech executive with expertise in enterprise software and technology at both Fortune 500 companies and Silicon Valley start-ups. Due to her exceptional leadership skills and strong customer-orientation, Ms. Danielsen has a long history of success in bringing technology to market and building focused teams, including FastScale Technology Inc. (acquired by EMC/VMware), Scali (acquired by Platform Computing), and HotLink Corporation. She has also held management roles at IBM, Penguin Computing and other companies. Danielsen shares her expertise as an advisor to ascending companies. She is a speaker at top MBA programs and an advisor for Innovation Norway. She was awarded an MS at the Norwegian School of Economics and a BA at University of San Francisco.
Espen Klovning brings over 30 years of expertise to his position of EVP of Engineering at Elliptic Labs. Klovning’s executive experience includes previous roles at Cisco Systems and Tandberg. In 1998, he founded Advanced Communications Technology, leading to an acquisition two years later by Birdstep Technology, where Klovning would serve as VP, R&D. He is the author of several Internet Engineering Task Force RFCs and has written over ten scientific papers on communications protocols. Klovning holds close to 50 patents in device mobility, sensors, and ultrasound technology.
Brian Daly oversees sales, partnership development, and business strategy at Elliptic Labs. He has over 25 years of VP experience in the wireless communications industry, having served in companies such as Skyworks Solutions, Synaptics, Atmel (acquired by Microchip), and Goodix. Daly has a BSEE from University of California, San Diego and a MSEE from California State University, Northridge.
Ola Sandstad’s career has included commercial and technical management roles responsible for successfully scaled product deliveries across multiple verticals. Previously, Sandstad was the Director of Product Line Management at NAGRA. He holds a Master in Science, Electronics, and Signal Processing from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
