
Elliptic Labs names Tore Engebretsen as Acting CEO, and Haakon Bryhni as COO.
Tore Engebretsen has a cand. real. degree from the University of Oslo, with a major in theoretical physics (1978). He was one of the founders of VMETRO ASA, and served as its CEO from the company’s founding in 1986 until 2003 and its Chairman from 2003 until 2008. Engebretsen has been Chairman of Nordic Semiconductor since 2001. He has also been a board member in the companies Ferd Venture ASA, Profdoc ASA and Nera ASA. Engebretsen is a partner in the investment company Nunatak AS, and is a Chairman of the Board in the associated portfolio companies.
Haakon Bryhni is responsible for the day to day operation of Elliptic Labs, and as a serial entrepreneur in the ICT industry he has a proven track record of bringing high tech from research into products. Bryhni holds a PhD in high speed communication and multiprocessor server systems from the University of Oslo and a MSc in signal processing and telecommunications from Norwegian Institute of Technology.
